The book is very mysterious and thrilling. The party discovered new lifeforms and specimens on this expedition which is very interesting. The thrilling part of the book is the "Elder Things" that are trying to kill the rest of Dyer's team. The crew members are not knowledgeable of their surroundings and this plays a big part of the overall tone of the book.
Summary:
The beginning, we talked about what we thought about the book and how we are liking the book. Hans and I both find the literature hard because the sentence structure and some of the vocabulary is hard to understand. We then started to discuss what we thought the tone of the book was, and it was hard to decide in the beginning because so much was going on. We decided to go with mystery and thriller and then expanded on why we thought it was that. We then started to discuss the questions and on some of the question I had to go back to the book to make sure all of the answers are right. We then wrapped it all up covering what we thought might happen at the end of the book and what we each group member had to accomplish by that next meeting.
